Setting Sail

I just spent a wonderful week making music with composer Juliana Hall and recording twelve new songs set to Emily Dickinson poems. The songs will be released online very soon, so stay tuned!

X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X [BMOP / Odyssey Opera]

It has been my absolutely honor to join this amazing production of X: The Life and Times of Malcom X by Anthony Davis with Boston Modern Opera Project and Odyssey Opera as Reporter 1.

[U-Hauling world premiere!]

May 13 at 7pm - May 15th at midnight you can view the world premiere of U-Hauling: A Micro Opera!

UHauling is a fantastically queer Micro-Opera presented by Black Sheep Contemporary, with music composed by Marc Hoffeditz and libretto written by Aiden K. Feltkamp.

This opera is being premiered virtually. Purchasing a ticket will give you access to the video with a password. The video will be available from May 13th at 7:00pm EST until May 15th at 11:59pm EST.

The duration of the opera is 14 minutes.

"U-Hauling is a comedy about two women who meet on a dating app and decide that their first date will be their Vegas wedding. It's based loosely on the true story of a couple who got married the first day they met." - Feltkamp, Librettist

[Sophia's Forest West Coast Premiere]

“At the center of the splendid cast was soprano Maggie Finnegan, whose performance as the grown-up Sophia was a marvel of crystalline tone, melodic precision and poker-faced expressiveness.”
— Joshua Kosman, San Francisco Chronicle Datebook
The adult Sophia, an excellent Maggie Finnegan’s crystalline voice and faraway look captured this poignant moment. Here and throughout, her soprano piping into the soaring reaches of the cathedral’s vaulted space conveyed Sophia’s fragility and tensile strength.
— Steven Winn, Musical America, 2022
